Remember that mundane thrillers?

Damn, i'm sooo sleepy.

Which is really odd, because I clocked in almost a solid 8-hour of sleep, last night. It seemed as if all I do this week is go to bed late, then go to bed early the next night to recoup, then go to bed late again the next night.

On Monday, I only went to bed at 4am, after helping my sister craft this silly amateur video that we posted on FB for his birthday. The next night, in bed at 9 plus. Then on Wednesday night, watched the premier of Ironman2, got home at 1am, went to bed slightly after 2.

Yesterday, was a horribly hot day, on which I had the opportunity to sleep in a little as I was planning to got the LHDN to do my taxes in the morning, so I told the office I'd be coming in after lunch (Nyeahhahah). After the taxes, office colleagues informed me that they're coming to town to visit another colleague who is on sick leave due to an operation, and could you please buy a fruit basket?

Do you know how hard it is to LOOK for a fruit basket in Shah Alam????!!!

Actually, I didn't know as well. To save me that trouble, i bought a basket of my mom (convenient), then walked over to the nearest Giant (with that basket and a pink ruffly piece of paper lining it) to buy fruits. 3 types of heavy fruits later (smart eh?), I had to lug it back to my mom's shop to be decorated. The nearby florist wanted to charge RM40 for 3 sad-loonking roses, apakah?? My mom was no help either, and told me to decorate it myself using whatever ribbons yang ada dalam her kedai.

FIIINNNEEE.

After hopeless attempts at being kitschy, I decided there's no way in hell am I ever going to operate a gift shop. Lug the DIY fruit basket back to the car, drove to the pasar as my mom told me there's a florist there. Gi sana, florist said, bunga dah habis, kak. Memang la kot, it was noon, bunga pun dah mati kot kalau ada pun kat market tu.

By then, i was drenched in sweat, breathless and getting quite a good workout lugging that fruit basket everywhere. And my colleagues were already on the way to pick me up. Last resort, I drove to another florist and thank GOD, the lady was cheery enough to decorate my fruit basket with some roses, baby's breaths, ferns, and other foliage.

Dah. Damage done: RM30.

Bear in mind, all of the above was done in a kebaya and kitten heels.

After all that, i actually drove back to the office at 2pm, encountered a jam on the Federal Highway, and worked for about 3 hours. Then my sister wanted me to accompany her to the Zara warehouse sale in Atria, and after braving the horrible, horrible, horrible jam to get there, we discovered that it closes at 8pm. It was then 8.30pm.

BRAVO.

Hence, another early night in last night. But why oh why then, am I feeling so sleepy today?!

My cup of Joe

I almost felt like my old self today. The giggly one, with that almost-cheesy condition to ring out hellos at random people, and who lights up at every single thing, no matter how lame and mundane.

Thanks to those individuals who took the time to care, to sprinkle a few words straight from their hearts and to just be there.

For me.

I love me some sushi and some sushi downtime with the lil sis. Bliss. Especially if it's all paid for. Teehee.

I'll try to write about normal, mundane stuff that thrills me to no end soon. Ish.

I don't want you to go back yet

My mom is currently replying all the facebook posts on her wall, wishing her a happy birthday. She finds it tiring, while my sister half-screams instructions and telling her that it is her DUTY to personally reply to all posts. My sister finds it exasperating that my mom only chosed to reply to a select few.

i find it all very amusing. Teehee.

We had a great sunday, celebrating her birthday, just us girls. We had a nice kopitiam and dim sum breakfast, sponsored by the brother *love you, D!*, then drove all the way to Plaza Damas to check out Cengkih, the tiny boutique owned by a friend's mom, selling the most gorgeous batik outfits. We scored an outfit each, and would have been tempted to buy more, had we stayed on longer. Then it was on to a late lunch at Delicious, Bangsar Village, which was a first for my mom. We had the pasta dishes, the caesar salad and the yummy sundae.

It was one of those days that seemed to go on and you didn't want it to ever end.

That lovely day was topped off with a beautiful wedding of a friend in Tropicana. The bride had on a gorgeous dress and a few friends sang. Shared inside jokes with the cousin *waves enthusiastically at TIna*.

Lovely day.

Then it was Monday, and I had to put on my torturous corset and fast, to repent for those two days I spent stuffing my face. Torturous corset equals to enormous constriction on the body as well as the mind, that even constructing a short blog post seemed like an impossible task. Just look at its mundaneness! *runs away in shame*

Happy birthday Mama, you know we love you!
