Oh, i'm back

The greatest gift that there could be
Wrapped underneath my Christmas tree
Would be the same my whole life through
I'd spend the perfect Christmas with you

- SClub7's " Perfect Christmas" -

err, i have been away for quite a while, haven't i?

whoops...

well, the week before last, blame it all on work, i even had to come in on a Saturday and stay till nearly 5pm...and this is a semi-govenrmental company too!

last week tho'...i was back in London... :)

and man, it was cold! the temperature ranged between 6-10 degrees, and we were basically bundled up most of the time, even in the loo :p

last week kinda sums up, tie up and was the curtain fall for my year overseas..not only i attended my graduation ceremony (which symbolises that my studying days in a foreign university is OVER), i also received the shipment of all the things i've accumulated during that period of time..

the trip to London was too short..and VERRY tiring..i didn't manage to do as quite a many things that i want..i was there with my mom and my cousin, and it was my cousin's first trip, so we were showing her around the city..i didn't even manage to get together with my friends over there, and as the days are much shorter, you kinda feel like going back home much earlier...and my mom has start to feel her age, therefore, no rushing around like we used to...

nevertheless, it was enjoyable..to see familiar places (Oxford St :p) and familiar faces (my ex-housemates), and to eat familiar food (kebabs! and tango!)...

and have my lecturer went, Oh, you made it! you had me worried! was well worth the trip... well, HAH!! i made it! i passed!!!! alhamdulillah... :)

and another sweetie lecturer (my favourite) going up to my mom saying its a pleasure having Dalie in the class, as he has had hundreds of students before, and remembering names and faces meant that they've had conversations or exchanges that are significant...and to top it all off "she's clever, beautiful, on time...."..YEAH, RIGHT!!!!!! he knew i was always rushing into class 1/2 an hour later! fine, be sarcastic, he's allowed to on the day i'm clad in a black and purple robe which threatened to fall off of my shoulders...

the awards ceremony was nice..not a grande event, but nevertheless, memorable..and being first in class (as in first name to be called :p) never failed to amaze me after more than a decade of being somewhere in the middle due to the nature of my name...most of the students have their own way of accepting their award *btw, we merely got called on stage, shook hands with the University's president, and walk down again, no gempak2 thingy*..you'll see some of them blowing kisses and waving to the audience, some just rushes up the stage and down again, and one particular black dude, was doing this hand-shake thingy with the president that got us all laughing....and i managed to meet up with my ex-classmates, namely Charlotta (who got a distinction), Alfred, Coura, Cindy, Anene, Nana and a few others..not as many came, and not everyone was wearing a robe..but i had mine on, cuz it was once in a lifetime thingy, although it was a mess, and when i turned to wave to my family seated in the audience, the sash nearly came off!

the rest of the week was nice..Christmas in London meant lots of twinkly lights, street decorations and tons of chocolates and pretty things lying around..and sales! although, not as great as the boxing day or january sales, but it was sufficient, heheh..ooh, and i also got to see the huge christmas tree they put up in trafalgar sq, but oh, i missed the premiere of Phantom of the Opera...and of course, i couldn't miss taking my cousin to Kings Cross to bergambar in front of Platform 9 3/4, her being a Harry Potter fan as well, but now they actually fixed a half trolley into the wall so it looks as if you're pushing the trolley into the wall, darn! but my photo days in London are overlaa..too many already :p

and, as always, something to complain about the staff on board our airline...it got up to the point my mom had a long chat with the chief steward, him crouching next to her to listen to a mini lecture on services..and the victim, the stewardess in question, had to come and apologize to my mom...and on the way back, its even worse! i could strangle the stewardess named RETNA for being soo rude!!!!!!!!

all in all, an enjoyable break...this is the end of one era, the final page of the chapter, and as my friend would say, tutup buku...

Hari nie, kita mula buku baru...*big heavy sigh*

btw, thousand apologies to Nerryna for not being able to make it for your open house! was in the office, nearly dozing off..sorry sgt!!!!

Christmas is coming, any more open houses? ;)
