Grumble, grumble
When you call my name it's like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour I can feel your power
Just like a prayer you know I'll take you there

i've watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!! 3rd row from the front!!! oklaa, mendongak sikit *given my certain vertically-challenged condition*, but its worth it to see Christian Slater up close! eeekkss!! *drools* sooo handsome! and cheeky!! and *groans* sooo best! i can't take my eyes off him, and i was trying to concentrate on the story and all, but his presence was like , wow...but it was a great play..i've never watched the movie with Jack Nicholson, but Christian Slater made it great :p he really is a great actor, despite making some dumb movies..btw, did yu know he graduated from some performing school in NY and started out on Broadway? anyhoo, Nurse Ratchett was abominable, and the other patients in the mental institution were just great..i always thought that it takes enormous talent to play a madman, and there were a huge bundle of talent on stage today..one guy, only had one line "F**k 'em all!!" and just stands in the corner drooling...ooh, and best parts? was when Christian Slater pranced about the stage, topless, first in a towel wrapped around his waist..and next, he pulled it off to reveal a cheeky black underpants! Christian Slater in underpants!!! hahahaha....but, aww, he's hardly buff, and that makes him so human..alhamdulillah, was glad i managed to catch the matinee show *it was a full house lagi, i bet they're there just to see Christian Slater :p*..at student's rate lagi..
earlier before, me and my dad visited the new Malaysia Hall to enquire about accomodations, and to have lunch..the new canteen's menu is very basic...very, very basic...so, if you just want to merasa makan kat Malaysia Hall, go ahead, but you'd have better choices of food elsewhere..maybe its still new, hence the short menu...
BUT, i am here to do what Malaysians are fond of doing, either consciously or unconsciously..to complain...yes, i have always managed to find something to complain about Malaysia Hall, and i'm the type of person who would defend all Malaysian things, right down to the greenery planted by the Federal Highway..but just when i was about to give Malaysian Hall a chance, it just manages to pissed me off..or maybe i'm just touchy lately...
BUT, isn't Malaysia known as the Land of a thousand smiles? wouldn't that entails us to give ultimate service to the public? to open our doors to strangers to look into our lives and experience our culture and unique diversity? then, why, oh why, is the Malaysian Hall's main door not open to public, and the good people of the public, would have to be subjected to an interrogation at the front door? making everyone in the neighbourhood aware of what we are looking for? why can't they just unlock the bloody doors, so people can go up to the reception, meet the friendly and smiling receptionist and talk nicely? if they are worried about security, why can't they employ a watchman? why the snobbery??????? is this how we want to be acknowledged as?? what is the point of it all? it is a bloody student department...i'm pretty sure the faces i made at the front door was captured on camera, and hey, that wasn't the first time too..maybe one day they'll have a compilation of the shots they took of me making faces at the Malaysian Hall main door...
i. am. so. bloody. pissed....
the only nice thing that i can say about the new Malaysia Hall is that, they have nice praying facilities for women..the ablution room has a connecting door to the prayer room, so ladies would no longer be dripping water, walking from the loo or anywhere else to the praying room...but it's tiny...*sigh* we can't have everything now can we?
well, other than Christian Slater making my day, i'd also like to acknowledge this black teenager on Oxford St..there was an accident, and the road was blocked..so, i hopped off the bus and walked as fast as i could to catch another bus or to the theatre *whichever comes first* as i didn't want to be late..as i was speed walking, this teenage girl came up to me, smiling...now, i've had a few not-favourable experiences with strangers on Oxford St, especially in front of Selfridges...so, i assumed she'd be one of those who would push something into my hand, or ask to donate for some charity..as i was in a rush, i didn't want to layan her..she went " excuse me." ..and i just flicked my head, but at the last moment, turned to her and said " yes? " *i was guilty but made it obvious that i was in a rush*..then she asked...
" where did you get your hair done? "
well, like the Brits would write, i was dead chuffed, me! i stammered out that they are my natural curls..and she went, ooh they're so nice! *and no Totz, i'm not making this up, but i got no witness la kan* ..so i thanked her, and continued walking...now, who would have thought off all the days my hair needs a wash *as it has become a grease trap*, would be the day it gets a compliment?
*grins*
that made my day...
