Other people would have done it otherwise

And baby, when I see ya
I'm gonna love you all over the place
And baby, when I see ya
I'm gonna kiss you all over your face

- Macy Gray's "When I See You" -

In continuing with the fitness programme, on Wednesday morning i got up, with this renewed strength to actually brave the public pool! so, off i went, (after a breakfast of Kit Kat tho, because, well, its light enough not to sink me to the bottom of the pool, but filling enough to be constituted as a power breakfast meal..NOT!)...paid the GBP 3.50 (!! at times like this, i kinda miss the public pool in Kelana Jaya)..and a further 20p is needed for the locker (which i will not get back! ) ...

so got changed, went to the pool (got lost along the way cuz the place is a maze!), noticed that its divided into 3 lanes...the biggest one is for learning purposes, and i saw a skinny guy with shorts and t-shirt, shouting instructions to a bunch of noisy kids in the pool...the one in the middle is for lane swimmers, and the last one is for slow swimmers...memandangkan i have not dipped myself into chlorine-filled water for quite a while, i descended into the deep end of the slow lane...and promptly went under...acck, help...i soo do not have the skills to tread water..then i started to swim..did a little stretching in the water as well, as do not want to embarass self screaming for help if attacked by muscle cramps...

so, there i was, swimming to my hearts content, in my brand new goggles and my old swimming cap from the days of the old swimming club in Kelana Jaya (i had trouble fitting in all my hair and head into it tho..)...when the pool began to fill up...aah, now i know why this is called the slow lane..its another term for senior swimmers! i was swimming alongside grannies and grandaddies who were actually going faster than me!...control macho kejap....well, trying to catch my breath actually..then decided, dengan penuh machonye, to switch lanes to the one in the middle...well, that lane got me gasping for breath too, as it does not have the support bar alongside it, so i can't really hang on to it, if i'm tired of swimming..it actually forces me to do laps after laps..well, i think i went over the 20 laps mark...so, yay me :)

so, alkisahnye, i was just adjusting my cap and goggles, and had the brilliant idea of rinsing the goggles out..so i dipped it into the water..and it sank...me, ever the genius, plunged in, wide-eyed to retrieve it..at the last minute, i realised...accckk!!! i have my contact lenses on!!! i pulled back as fast as i could, blinking hard, and staring frantically (almost like a mad woman) at everything....surprisingly, everything looks clear..thank god! i thought i would have lost them in the water....i don't know how the lekap concept works, but apparently, your lenses won't come off, but i was REALLY worried for a bit there....unfortunately, then, i had to worry about the potential amoebas and other form of bacterias infesting my lenses.. so rushed home, to soak them in protein tablets and other lenses-related stuff...

then i went to spend 2 nights at Ita's house as the family she's staying with is not around...it was nice, for a change...she had to study for her finals, so i amused myself with the Sky digitalbox, and stayed up 2 nights in a row just watching the idiot box..man, it has been a while since i last seen MTV Cribs...and i even caught Queer Eye For The Straight Guy UK..so best!! arrgh, can't believe they don't have it on tv kerajaan!! watched "The Fabulous Life Of Young Hot Popstars"where i was quite attached to the phrase " ka-chingg for the bling-blings! "..hmm, wonder where i can use that sentence in my daily life....an episode of Ally McBeal, a few repeated FRIENDS episodes, an interview with Kill Bill's stars (David Carradine is soo dashing!)..apa lagi eh? oh yeah, more cook shows, yum! basically, my heavy laptop that i lug all the way over (in my brand new, but ouch2 shoes) remained silent, till i lug it all the way back here this morning...i was pampered with rice, rice and more rice at Ita's..so much so, that it wipes off all traces of the previous calorie-burning activity, which is the solo swimming session..(what swimming? what goggles?)

so tonight, Ita decided to sleep over, and i cooked some spaghetti, and after borak-ing, she fell asleep, and i'm still here typing this out..and, i still have not gotten much done from my assignment...*sigh*

so, bile lagi nak gi simming eh?
