i've just wiped away tears from watching my all-time favourite movie, You've Got Mail...i know, i'm sappy and all...but i can't find any fault with the movie, honestly...heck i brought along the vcd to UK...i've watched it twice at the cinema, it was one of my first pirated vcd, (which i played, over and over again), and i caught it on tv twice, once on Astro *ooh, how i miss ASTRO!!* and just now, on channel 5....i know its a romantic-comedy, hence, is not supposed to be taken seriously, BUT, it has never failed to bring tears to my eyes..it just depends on how much tears it will bring at that time....

i love that the movie is set in New York, as a matter of fact, this movie is the only reason that could get me to jejak kaki on the soils of United States...it looks like an ideal place to be in, with the cafe, sidewalk markets selling fresh flowers and fruits (not that kat London takde, but work with me here..), the tiny parks, the cafes....SATC never made me feel like going to New York, as a matter of fact, i got intimidated by the City after watching the series...but Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks made New York a warm, friendly, and intimate city to be in....

favourite scenes:

- when Meg Ryan types out an email to Tom Hanks, and she said "i just wanted to send this question out to the void...so, goodnight, dear void..." i've always wished that i could write something like that....

- when Tom Hanks asked his friend to peek in the cafe, to see how his anonymous email friend ( Meg Ryan) looks like, while the guy went "she could be a real dog, man..", and when the guy saw Meg Ryan, and told Tom Hanks "oh, she's pretty allright.."and Tom Hanks, in his anxiety, jumps up and started shaking the iron fence, shouting, i knew it, i knew it...heheheh

- the whole cafe scene itself, as it was a really nice cafe :)

- i like the christmas song they (Meg Ryan, her boyfriend, and her staff) sang, where they did the 3 part duet "the violin si-inging, with jo-ooyful ri-inging..."...

- i like her bookshop, SHop Around The Corner, and how she has the nicest way of putting sweets in the sweet jar...

- i lurve her assistant, the girl with the lazy voice, and the scene where they imagined what happened to her mystery date when he stood Meg ryan up was just hilarious...

- i think the elevator guy, who told Tom Hanks, that if he gets out of the elevator they were stuck in alive, he would marry his girlfriend, is just sweet...

- i like the fact that the movie downplayed the fact that Tom Hanks aka Joe Fox *just call me Joe* and his family are multi-millionaires...the only evidence is his dad's limo and their Fox III and Fox II boats...it was really subtle...

- and basically, everything from when they started to break up with their significant others...how they had calamari and ice tea at a cafe, how they ate mangoes on a bench, how he bought her daisies and paid her a visit when she was sick, and she went all bashful after that, how she looks so good in twinsets and khaki pants with leather belt, how he deleted his email to her by using 2 fingers that he press continously on the "Delete" button, how she goes, its no excuse for her to say bad things to him no matter what he did to her, and he went, err lupe dah, hehehe, how when he puts his hand on her shoulder, and she seemed to have felt a jolt, ad automatically her hand went up to her neck as if to rub it...

- and how he won't be able to wait to call her after he got her number "...for coffee, or drinks, or dinner...for as long as we shall live..."

- ooh, everything laa :)

The only 2 things that i don't like about the movie *don't worry, got!* :

- The fact that Greg Kinnear is Meg Ryan's boyfriend earlier on....uggh, i DON'T LIKE Greg Kinnear!!! eee....tak suke...soo meluat!

- The unnecessary knock, knock joke at the supermarket to the Indian cashier..i thought the script was a little "heh?" and it wasn't that funny pun....

my all time feel good movie!
