My lovely and peaceful weekend...

Ooh baby love, my baby love
I need you, oh how I need you
But all you do is treat me bad
Break my heart and leave me sad
Tell me, what did I do wrong
To make you stay away so long

- The Supremes's "Baby Love" -

well, i had a lovely weekend :) not as hyper-perkyish as hers, but lovely enough..hehhee, sorry dear, couldn't resist that..btw, i think u have a bright future to be casted in one of those teenage movies that uses older actress to portray nubile sweet-young-things..heheheh...btw, did u know that Selma Blair (of Cruel Intetntions fame) is actually 30 yrs old??

Friday morning saw me trying to doze off in the cab to Heathrow, but as the cabbie was using routes very much unfamiliar, i just had to keep my eyes open for sake of curiousity...however, it turns out that he was just using alternative routes to the ones we're familiar with..now tell me, why is it, in the dead of the morning, when no sane creature is stirring, that he had to use all those lanes? its as if we're dodging a mega traffic jam! and we would end up on a familiar route at last! buat suspense aje....it didn't save us THAT much time pun! anyhoo, we arrived quite early at Heathrow, proceeded to claim the VATs and then Ainor bought me breakfast..thank you!! one of the best hot chocolate and pain au chocolat ..yums! we had some time before she had to check in, so we hung out at the shops for a bit...then she was off, and me, yawning my head off, went to look for the Underground station to take the tube back home...got off at Piccadilly Circus, went into Boots to look for some food to take along with me to Kak Amni's house, finding none, waited for the bus, it was a cold and rainy day btw, and dozed off in the bus...got home, found out that one of our curtains has fallen off the hook, and there was no hook where it should have been...grrr....concluded that, hey, i'm on the upper floor anyway, and lest there are perverts on the top deck of those red buses, or future-perverts playing in the field beyond our house, i don't have to worry about it ..yet...i just have to find a strategic place to undress....

after dozing (catching up on my much-missed sleep), woke up to actually surf the net for a new mobile phone..what i have right now, is a sorry excuse for a phone..the fact that voices are coming out of it, and i can SOMETIMES get messages are the only reasons why i have not chucked it into the bin...the best part is, one of its part has already left me! yups, i don't know if its out of pure spite, or if its just tired of being attached to such a sad-looking phone, but ladies and gentleman, i don't have a back cover to my phone...yups, its actually fashionably backless, with a shameful looking battery exposed..i do have an option of putting a rubber band all around the whole thing, but i don't think it needs to look any more sadder than it is....so, i have to position the phone in such a way that nobody knows anything is missing whenever i take it out of the pocket...AND, once it gets into the pocket, it will just go off..OR WORSE, it remains on BUT with NOTHING on the screen! ooh, the dramas in my life.....* puts back of hand theatrically on forehead*

anywas, called up my mom to inform her that i'd be spending the night at Kak Amni's place, and she started screeching...GO NOW!!! ok maa....apparently,she's worried about weird stalkers and stuff...so,off i went to Wapping via the Underground, stopping for a while at Liverpool St Station to get them some bisuitc from Marks and Sparks...when i got to Wapping, i was thanking my lucky stars that Kak Amni gave clear directions..there was nobody around! and there i was walking alone, with my gaily-spotted umbrella, darting my eyes left and right (was worried about the stalkers kan)...didn't want to make any mistakes, so stopped at a florist to ask for proper directions to Tobacco Docks....apprently, its quite a well-known place, due to this pirate ship that is moored there...it was also, apparently, the place where they did that reality show "Shattered".. met Kak Amni, who looked gorgeous and berseri-seri..hehehe, macam baru kawin laa pulak...and the two most adorable niece and nephew of Afti's, Hana and Rashid...comel sangat!!! geramnyee!! Rashid have the chubbiest cheeks, and Hana is just soo pretty..i keep telling her, Hana lawa la, Hana cantikla, and she would smile bashfully back..hhehehe...i want one!!!

catched up on things with Kak Amni, she is my supersenior anyways :p at first, i was a little apprehensive about meeting her and the family ( read: segan ), but we got along soo super-fine...chatted about everything, while minding the kids..its soo nice to see how Kak Amni is with her kids..Rasid is especially manja, its soo cute to see how he would go and merajuk in the corner..comel! Abang Is came bcak from work, and we chatted for a bit, before Kak Amni started dinner..then Abang Is showed me some stuff the PC ,then i went and menyibuk in the kitchen..we had fishcooked in herbs, mushrooms in butter and mashed potatoes! it was yummy! i even went off to Tescos today to look for some fish to cook ;) we had dinner while watching tv..they have SKY!! jealous nyee ! i watched a little bit of Pride and Prejudice, and finally, American Idol!!! now, i know what the fuss is all about,ehehhe....AND i watched the famous William Hung audition...hilarious!! but kesian jugak, and kinda proud of him...well, at least he's got the guts to do it..who else would have done it EXACTLY like him? chatted with them till they went off to bed, and i amused myself with surfing SKY....

the next morning, we had a breakfast of yummy danish..and then we went of for a walk...i love the area!!! its soo peaceful, and yet, less than 10 minutes away, you have the tourist attractions of Tower Bridge and Tower of London plus those busloads of tourists....along the way, they showed me the docks...can't remember the name, sowwee...but it was lovely, cuz it had all those small boats moored there, and gorgeous residence of cottages and apartments overlooking the water...so lawa!! and the weather was so nice, sunny and warm...they showed me the friendly Safeway, and lo behold, a Haagen Dazs cafe within walking distance.! took a few pictures with Hana..and we walked to the benches overlooking River Thames..so, we just sat there and chatted the morning away...it was really, really nice and relaxing...i felt soo peaceful...and suddenly so wise..hehehe...on our way back,we dropped by Safeway cuz they wanted to get some groceries...lepas tu,ade pulak this surprise hale shower....it was a good thing we were near a bus stop, so took shelter for a bit..luckily, it didn't last long...got home, and had a lunch of burgers, while watching Duplex, this comedy with Ben Stiller (isn't he just the hottest thing now? *rolls eyes* ) and the gorgeous, Drew Barrymore.....they wanted to put the kids down for a nap, and when i looked at my watch..yikes! already 3 p.m...i have to leave then, if i wanted to get home before dark...so, thanked them for being such lovely hosts, and dengan tidak malunye, declared that i'll be back, maybe i might cook! hehehe..we'll see....and Abang Is told me how to get a bus to Liverpool St Station..yay! now i know how to get to their place on the bus....

and i slept all day long on Sunday, only to wake up to play Spider Solitaire..how productive...

btw, the curtain hook is up! guess who had to borrow a hammer from Kak Iza in the middle of the night, and proceeded to wake half of the neighbourhood with her hammering? yup, moi..be gentle now, it could fall off any moment.....in the meantime, the hammer is still here :)

p/s: Shima and Huda, if you guys are reading this.... i won't have a rendezvous partner for 3 whole weeks...jom kluarr!!!....hheheheh...
