The job Fair and Ally McBeal

See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sunrise from a tropic isle
Just remember, darling all the while
You belong to me

- Vonda Shepard in Ally McBeal "You Belong To Me" -

I thought today would be a day of total relaxation for me...woke up late (yet again), long shower, then settle down to read a little something for class tomorrow...i even thought of cooking something for dinner...tetapinye, as i was getting ready for Zuhur prayers, i suddenly realised..shit! today is the job fair day!! arrggghhh!!!! i was supposed to go with Soo, but she couldn't make it from LEicester (had to attend important classes), and she told me to get some stuff for her if i went...eepps! i know i'm under no obligation to go, but she did invite me in the first place, which was so nice and considerate of her, that i thought i should go and get her some infos...the thing is, i didn't know exactly WHERE it is....was thinking of going tomorrow, cuz she told me that it will be held for 2 days...so, i went and google it..eepps again!! today's the last day, and it ends at 7 p.m.!!! and it was already 2 p.m.!! got ready in a rush, blew dry my hair, but left it in tangles, changed into something sensible, and rushed off to catch the 38...got the address of the website, and armed with the London A-Z, i searched for it..luckily it was easy to be found...and the horde of people coming out from the building makes it easy for me..

the Londoners Job Fair was organised by the Evening Standard, and among the exhibitioners were O2 (mobile network co), Nationwide Building Society, Loot.com magazine, Perfect Day (this financial consulting company), Monsoon Accessorize (retailer), a catering recruitment company, Securicor, Enterprise Rent-A-Car..and the Armed Forces, the Navy, and a few other uniformed organizations...i walked around, collected booklets, submitted an application to O2 (do u have retail experience? err, i used to help out my dad in his store back home...NOT!!!) but in my application, i based my retail exerience on those stalls we used to have in school and uni selling Valentine's Day gifts, Raya cookies, generally food..u know the type...hehehehe....retail la tu...talked to a few people about who they're recruiting, what kinda qualifications needed..they even have a section for training purposes, and that's where you have all those computer courses..i made my way to the room marked refreshments..cheh, ingatkan free..hehehhe...well, best things in life are not these then...

after the job fair, i made my way to LSE to pray...then walked to the bus stop...along the way, i went through Sicily/Sicilian Avenue, saw this bookshop Holborn Books, with 25% off signs outside, and came out with a book on Ally McBeal selling at 99p!! yaay!! a die-hard fan must have....*grins*

anyhoo, hope i'll have some luck with my application...here's to tomorrow! gotta go read up!! acckk!!!
