And then comes the rain...

Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...

- Enya's "Only Time" -

when the world is abuzz with the news of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin's death, i had to grapple with my own news...a Standard 6 classmate passed away a few days ago, leaving behind his wife and a 3-year old son...i was shocked....the weird thing is, my cousin left me an online YM message, telling me that she's worried when she heard about the accident, as she feared her /our friend is involved..alhamdulillah, bukan...so, when she msged me at about 12.20 p.m. this afternoon, i got a buzz from Azura, a Std 6 friend of mine, at the same time, telling me about our classmate's death..and i started my conversation with Tina, with an "omigod, i think my friend is the one in the accident, and he's now dead"..well, along that line...on one hand, i'm glad its not our friend, but on the other hand, i was shocked to hear that it was actually MY friend....

we actually had a long history, that snakes all the way back to Std 1...he was my classmate, and sorry to say this, but he was an annoying one...our paths seem to cross a few times, cuz he was also in my Sekolah Agama class, and when i switched class in Std 4, he switched along as well....he added a lot of unforgettable memories to those who had the chance to get to know him, plus, Std 6 would never have been the same without him...the last time i saw him, was at One Utama, when my best friend (who was once his classmate) and i were shopping, about 5 years ago...we chatted, walked along, and he told me that he's taking a long break...anyway, then i heard he got married to a girl from Sabah/Sarawak..and we (the 6 Ros clan) marvelled at the fact that he tied the knot first..believe me, if u knew him, you would never have thought that he would bite the bullet..well, he did, and some time later, we heard that his wife gave birth to a baby boy...well, a lot can be said about this guy, but all that would be buried now...i'm sure he was a great husband, and dad.... and i'm sure he will be missed....one thing's for sure, the memories of him back in Std 6 will forever be remembered and shared among us...

Al-Fatihah to Ahmad Zamini...may you rest in peace....

p/s: i'm missing my monkeys even more now...and am counting the days.. are you guys missing me? i hope so...
