The mind's ok, its back on its crooked path
High on diesel and gasoline, psycho for drum machine
shaking their bits to the hits,
Drag acts, drug acts, suicides, in your dad's suits you hide
staining his name again,
Cracked up, stacked up, 22, psycho for sex and glue
lost it to Bostik, yeah,
Shaved heads, rave heads, on the pill, got too much time to kill
get into bands and gangs,
Oh, here they come, the beautiful ones, the beautiful ones

Alhamdulillah, everything's a-ok in Dalie-land...
i'm in the midst of ER...i love Nila, the main character in Bend it Like Beckham, in this new series...she reminds me of my ex-tuition mate, Aida, an Assuntarian..man, those were some tuition sessions...there were 6 of us, Aida, Sharm and CHoy from Assunta, Anwar and Azura from SMSU, and moi...the teacher who was our victim for 2 years, was Mr Siva, this sedate-looking, tall man, of Chinese and Indian parentage, with greying hair...well, he tried to be serious and all but with this lot, heck, even he can't stop laughing and joking around...Choy has this loud, hysterical but infectious laughter, and it never failed to make an appearance at every session...Physics and Chemistry was fun with them around, and jokes flying around..Choy never fails to make some comment about Sir's "berombak" hair, so much so, that he turned up one day with a new haircut, and we teased him about it..and before we sat for our spm, we planned for this photo session, and Sir went to get his hair cut, but someone forgotten the camera..hehehe...by the time we finally took the class picture, his hair had gotten the "berombak" look again! but the one thing that i can never forget, was when all of us were having a conversation on whether SUperman's baby can fly or not, he butted in and said with conviction, that Superman's baby CAN'T fly....and we were like why not?? and he calmly said, because he would be born on Earth, so he can't fly, and proceeded to tell us his little theory...and Choy wondered out loud, do you physics people, or professors, like, get together on Friday nights to dicuss these things or something??!! hehehehhe.....
we had this visiting lecturer for my hospitality management subject on Monday, Richard Lynch, who was the author of the text we're using for the subject...which i have not bought, cuz i'm not officially registered for the class, i'm just there for the heck of it :p ..no laa, its an interesting subject actually, but since i want to focus on my marketing subjects more, i decided to just attend the lectures, and to get reading materials, which is A LOT cuz my lecturer, Pat, emails us all this links to hospitality and tourism news which is soo choking my inbox..its a good thing that no exams are involved, its purely coursework..*shrugs*...anyhoo, Lynch, gave an interesting lecture which focused on McDonalds...so, we get his insighst on having a McDonalds meal in different parts of Europe...like, for instance, in Amsterdam, fries are served with mayo not ketchup...and in Germany, the soft drink is served without ice...
ooh, btw, we (me and Ainor) made the briyani meal Raheela (friend of Safurah's and Ainurul's ) taught us! well, i just did the spicy brinjal in yogurt sauce and mango chutney..Ainor made the bulk of it, with the briyani and the spinach and chicken dish..it turned out quite ok actually...hehehe...we didn't poisoned ourselves or Kak Iza and Muhazza :p last night pulak, they made makaroni bakar...yums! sedap! pandai jugak si Muhazza nie masak...hehehe...but tonight, due to kemalasan, we just had toasted sardine sanwiches :p
i knew i was going to be picked on in class again..*sigh* i don't know if its a boon or a bane to be recognized by the lecturer, but i had to ignore voices in my mind to pick up my new juicy novel (i'm in the midst of Maeve Binchy's Scarlet Feather now) in the bus and instead read the chapter that will be discussed in class..nasib baik baca..dah agak dah, mesti kena tanye soalan punye...anyways, masa discussion in our seminar, my group consisted of Alfred, Coura, Doris ( a little bit on Doris, last semester she sported tiny braids, then a short red bob...then this semester, long tiny braids! how did she do that??!! are those hair extensions?? *wonders*) and this new guy, Nezz...i totally understand how Nezz feels when the lecturer said something along the lines, well, u joined us a little bit later, try and catch up.....been there, done that..and hey, if i could do it, i'm sure anyone can....speaking of that matter, i received a surprising phone call from Firman, my ex-classmate in Leicester, complaining about the course and all...*devilish grin*..despite all that i went through, i still think i made the right decision in coming here....btw, Firman got my contacts from Stephen, my ex-groupmate, bless him! i didn't think any of them would still keep my contacts....which reminds me, i need to write some emails saying hi and how-do-you-dos....
speaking of contacts, i got an email from Soo Fong, this other Malaysian chinese friend i made in my short stay in Leicester! wonderful! she got my contacts from Kak Hani, and scolded me for not keeping in touch..hehehe..sorreee Soo!! she was a HUGE help in Leicester, answered all my queries, helped me with almost EVERYTHING!! explained a lotta things to me, handphone matters, immigration matters, employment matters, etc...let me use her pc (with Japanese characters!!)...let me use her phone...she was the best! currently doing her MSc in Finance, and complaining about the course, but she has a small study group now, so she's coping quite well...and she's coming to London! yaay! there's a job fair in Holborn on the 3rd of March, and she asked me to come along as well...gonna catch up on news and gossips then....btw, best tak, her boyfie is kinda paying for her studies..heheheh....
had a short chat with Huda the other day, btw Puan Huda, cepat buat blog!! hehehehe..and can't wait to see your wedding pictures! ooh, and am looking forward to another theatre gang outing, insya-Allah, to watch Phantom of the Opera next week! yaay! can't wait!
Ita is in a dilemma right now...came over to our place to mengadu on Sunday, and we took her out grocery shopping at Tesco's and cooked a spaghetti dinner...she's thinking of moving out, but, does not have the errr, gumption to voice it out to Kak Ika..on the other hand, we've surveyed places for her to stay, at much cheaper rents, and is ready for her whenever she wants to move in..so, its totally up to her now....*can't believe some Melayu would do some things to other melayu...especially kat negara orang...don't they know they're building a bad reputation for themselves?? nanti, nak mintak tolong ngan sape? tak paham laa orang2 camni..* on the other hand, she's always welcomed here whenever, if she needs a place to stay...sekecik-kecik our space pun, there's always space for anyone :) except for firman, who inquired can he stay over...ewww...noo!!!
errkk, gotta go read a 108 page market report on home furnishings...*yawn*..ngantuk la pulak..eh, sex and the city repeat? hehehehe..break kejap laa...
