After the Test....

Berlalulah sudah ramadan sebulan berpuasa

i've been busy downloading Raya songs onto my notebook...well, kalau tak dapat the duit raya, dapat lagu raya pun jadilaa kan...this morning, caught the Drama Raya on Era, and it nearly brought tears to my eyes when the adik in the drama said something along the lines of how their arwah ibu telah berpesan, walau jauh di mana sekalipun, raya mesti balik jumpe ayah....sheesh....i'm sentimental, what can i say? last year i shocked my family by bursting into tears after the meminta maaf session...malu je...after that, buat macholaa, kasi duit raya....

anyways, had a nice weekend...other than updating the look of my blog ( Thanks Masyoo, Afti and Nona for the compliments!!), bought an overcoat (finally) kat Walthamstow street market....couldn't get the bulu-bulu one, so had to settle for a plain black one, with a Matrix-ish look..hey, i was only going for the Dana-Scully-Fox-Mulder-swish-swish-overcoat look....nasib baik laa murah, burnt a smaller hole in my pocket....bought some groceries wit Ainor and Kak Iza...

hmmm, nampaknye kite nie takde rezeki nak berjumpa kan, Kak Idlan? Lin had other plans that involved a birthday party and her friends coming over, so had to abandon the idea of berbuka...takpela, next time maybe...nasib baik Ainor had an invitation from Kak Ema, whom she had met earlier, when she first arrived in London, to go berbuka at Nahar..so she dragged me along....after the groceries trip to Walthamstow, we rushed home, dumped our stuff, prayed, and rushed out again, taking the 38 to Tottenham Court Road...change for the number 7 to get to Paddington Station, but we arrived rather late, so told Kak Ema that we'll be meeting her at MARA house, where she's currently staying....

Kak Ema is doing her Phd in Psychology at Kings College and she's this super friendly and nice person...so bubbly, and easy to get along with....we trooped down to Nahar where i ordered the Nasi Goreng Special Nahar (have been wanting to order that since i saw Huda makan hari tu), and soya bean drink....borak-borak till about 7 p.m..then we left for home...tapinye, macam tak kenyang-kenyang kan? decided to get off at Oxford Street for some Ben & Jerry's belgium waffles and ice-cream....sebelum tu, masuk kluar Selfridges, Debenhams and a few other shops *mentally noting sizes and preferences, hehehe*....

on Sunday, the morning was spent fixing all the loose wires and cables dangling from the walls from Kak Iza's room to ours...yelaa, we've been using masking tape, laa cellophane tapelaa...a word of advice, if u ever come across a certain "Koopee"brand of cellophane tape, please stay away from it....macam clear plastic je with no sticky feeling at all!!! trust myself to go for some obscure "Koopee" brand, why can't i just stick to Loytape??!!! so sambil men-fix-ing the wires, our landlord came up to us and offered us the staple gun so we can staple the wires to the walls...well, why didn't u offer it to us earlier?! our wires are now nice and neat due to our artistic way of arranging it...tapi yang kelakarnye, the staple gun has this deafening and nerve-wrecking bang, so u have 2 girls, one holding the wire into place, the other stapling it with the gun, but both are cringing and looking away...macamana tu?

we decided to have Nasi Tomato and its lauk for berbuka, so me and Ainor lari pergi beli vinegar and cucumber kat convenience store kejap..before that, we dashed into B&Q, this hardware gudang to get more stapples for the gun..we finished the supply already! hehehe.....lepas refill the stapler, apa lagi, semuanye kitorang staple....our landlord gave us some lauk and rice for berbuka, so we had more than enough that day..alhamdulillah...

i had a test just now....hmm, tak taulaa how i did..biasela moi, last minute study...wanted to study on the bus even, but it was crowded and i had to stand..hahaha, padan muke....it was raining the whole day, and i bundled myself up in a fleece jacket and long parka...tengok dalam cermin, macam female Humpty Dumpty..*shudders*...

ooh, but good news! chatted with my extremely good looking classmate from India (New Delhi) and found out his name...surprise, surprise...it's Rahul!!! "Ayy, Rahul, mujhe doste karoge?" hehehe..he even admitted that his name is quite common, due to the onslaught of Bollywood movies...i was like, yeah! hehehe..comelnye....

got an email from Kak Yani tadi, iinviting me and my housemates to a little open house kat her sister's place in Edgeware..yayyy!!!! and my cousin told me that she's coming here too for raya! yaayyyy!!!! and got a nice email inquiring my wellbeing from Kak Hani kat Leicester...yayyy!!! terharunye, they cared....*sniff, sniff*.....

perut dah penuh dengan angin...it's a sign i'm way past my bedtime....macam babies pulak, ade angin-angin..hahaha...kena minum gripe water ke? *grin*...nights!!
