Why, oh, why?
Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waiting for me
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing
- Robbie William's "Beyond The Sea" OST Finding Nemo -
i'm soo tempted to change this blog's layout..what do u think? i was aiming for a 1 year mark before doing anything to it, but i'm not sure if this fixation with exhibitionism is going to last that long..altho', the rush i get from all the attention is probably gonna stay with me, coursing through my veins, imitating adrenaline that keeps me recharged, day, after day, after day...
thanks for all the comments on the notebooks, u guys...*blush* shucks...
hmm, apart from the daily exercise of rushing from one public transport to the other, while dodging monstrous vehicles with drivers that don't dare to look at you even tho' they nearly ran over you 2 seconds ago in their hurry to warm their couches in front of the tv, reading emails that i know i have to forward around (my conscience nagged me so) but i just left it to grow fungus in my inbox vowing to email them later (i now have about 20+ unopened emails everytime i open the inbox as a result of laziness), reading other people's blogs end-to-end at the same time damaging my already-damaged retinas, stuffing myself with fattening Malay kuehs in the morning and telling myself not to eat lunch but instead gorged on sweet biscuits that I BOUGHT for others and now conveniently served as my midday comfort food, hmm...nothing much...my days are as mundane as watching the VJ on MTV Boom..pardon my impertinence, but i think she would make an even better host, hehehehe...
on a happier note, got my specs done last night ! have decided not to go to my regular optician, and managed to get a good deal on the frames and lenses at this other optical center my dad goes to! and i can pick it up tonight! oh, the joys of my life ! *blissful smile*
hehehe..am i being a prick? am i, am i, am i? huh? what do u think? or perhaps, a tad annoying? huh? whaddya think? well, i blame it on the desire to fill this blue screen of mine with words yang kononnye the very insightful and meaningful, but instead only ending up sounding like a, well, fool.... :p
but then, why, oh, why do i insist on doing exactly what everyone else is doing? why can't i be more creative in daily attempts to spice up my life? why do i have to do this???!!
Dalie Farizan
A very special Aquarian
Dalie Farizan is the last of the great eccentrics. The funny thing is, she doesn't know it. She thinks her behaviour is perfectly normal. She sees herself as a pillar of propriety and a paragon of protocol. Dalie has strong views about every topic under the sun. There's not a subject she doesn't know about or a moral point she can't pontificate on. Dalie is entitled to be a little arrogant. She knows an awful lot about an awful lot of things. She is well versed, well rehearsed, and deeply immersed in the kind of knowledge that we lesser mortals can only dream of attaining. Thankfully, she is there to shed the light and show the way. This, she does generously and patiently, as befits a person of superior intellect. Dalie Farizan is wise, intelligent and (thankfully) oblivious to irony.
Or, at least, that's how Dalie Farizan is, at her worst. She can't help it. She's an Aquarian and Aquarians are infamous for their occasional outbursts of pomposity. Happily there is another truly delightful side to her. Dalie is as honest as the day is long, as generous as the ocean is deep. This is partly where the eccentricity comes from, for a person with such strong opinions Dalie is surprisingly willing to please. she is keen to win friends and influence people. She loves to feel that she belongs. She always wants to be in on the action, part of the scene and one of the gang. Rather like Groucho Marx though, she is never sure that she would want to be part of any club that would a member. She is always on the lookout for some new cause to support, or enterprise to sign up to. You might think that this would make her fickle but actually Dalie is exceedingly loyal. She may be forever expanding her horizons but she never forgets her friends and she never reneges on her commitments. This is why, despite the highly idiosyncratic nature of Dalie's personality, so many people think the world of her.
*note: read the first line..i'm sure many would agree with THAT...
i have updated as u can see...not wisely, but extravagantly...and i've found Anne of Green Gables books online for me to while away my last days..yay! have a good day peeps!
